How to chose the right private label indoor tanning product supplier! That’s my company! Sorry - I couldn't help that! More seriously, Once you make the decision to sell private label tanning lotions in your salon. One of the critical factors to your success is choosing the right supplier. When I started offering private label tanning products to salons almost 9 years ago, the tanning industry thought I was crazy. I believe that everyone now recognizes that Private Label indoor tanning products are on the verge of becoming a major percentage of indoor tanning product sales. With that growth, several new companies have started offering private label indoor tanning products to salons. How do you choose the right supplier of private label indoor tanning products for your salon?1) Look at the TANNING FORMULAS. Call and request free samples. Then try the tanning formulas yourself, with your staff and with your customers. Determine if the tanning formulas, they are selling matches or exceeds that quality of tanning formulas you demand for your salon? Points to consider on tanning formulas: How many different formulas do they offer? Do they offer regular, tingling, bronzing, aromatherapy, gels, combination tingling-bronzing and at what strengths/levels?2) Look at the PACKAGING/BOTTLE. What is the standard packaging/bottling? Do you like the look and appeal of the bottle. Determine if the packaging/bottling, they are selling matches or exceeds that quality ofpackaging/bottling you demand for your salon?Points to consider on packaging/bottling: What are the options? Black Bottles, White Bottles, Tubes, 1/2 gallon jugs, and will they continue to stock the same packaging/bottling or do they only have a limited stock of that style? 3) Look at the LABELING. What is the standard labeling? Is the look and appeal of the labeling attractive to you, your staff and your customers. Determine if the labeling, they are selling matches or exceeds that quality of labeling you demand for your salon? Points to consider on labeling: What are the options? What is standard? Is it paper labels, plastic labels, do they have a UV overcoat, what is the up front cost, what is the minimum to purchase, what is the cost of what I want, can we do it ourselves, what do they say on them, and who applies the labels?4) Look at the COST OF THE FINAL PRODUCT. What is the standard cost? What is the cost of the final product ready to sell? Determine if the cost of the final product, matches or is less than the cost for tanning products you demand for your salon? Points to consider on cost of the final product: How does the cost of the final product compare to the price I amcurrently paying for lotions? Will I be able to purchase more at this at the same cost? Is their volume discounts? What is my investment? What is my minimum purchase? I have to purchase 800 units at once, and will their prices change quickly? 5) Look at EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER. Look at the final product and cost with everything put together before you order. What is the quality of the company I am dealing with? Do they have products liability insurancecoverage? Do they have long term customers that have success selling their private label products. How professional does that entire product look. Determine if the everything put together, matches or exceeds your expectations for private label products for your salon? Points to consider on everything put together: What is my investment? What is my return? Is this the right company to deal with? How is their customer service? How is their problem solving? What is their history with private labeling and the indoor tanning industry? What do their customers say about them and is this the right company to put my trust in?Choosing the right private label supplier is critical. The success of any private label product is how you promote and sell it. If you love the product, packaging and profits from your private label indoor t
