I had a customer complaint the other day that just threw me off completely. She had purchased a bottle of Cafe Bronzer from me the day before. I felt by observing her tan that she was ready for a bronzer. She said that it turned her orange on her feet and on the palm of her hands. She did not want a sample. She wanted the entire bottle. I specifically informed her that she should make sure she rubbed the lotion in very well in between her toes and fingers and that she wipe the excess off of the palms of her hands after applying it. Her legs and arms did not look orange, and it has me baffled. I use Cafe Bronzer and it is one of my top sellers and I have never had anyone come back unsatisfied. Has anyone any suggestions or has anyone had this happen them and how did you handle the situation?

I had a customer complain about it once. And that's what initiated me coming up with this. When a customer purchases a bottle of Cafe Bronzer myself and my employees tell the customer to take a baby wipe (which i have in my beauty bar) or a wet paper towel into the room with them so they can wipe their hands. This has eliminated the problem completely.I also have a strict no return policy also. However if this is a good customer and you want to keep the customer satisfied then you can always take the bottle back and sell her something else if she is trully unhappy. The one time it happened to me the lady came in and wanted to rip my head off, so I took it back and just sampled the rest in cups and lids, and the employees used it.

I had this happen one time, too. In my case, though, it was one of those die hard tanners that wanted results...yesterday. She used bronzer in the salon and then used a self tanner from a supermarket. That explained the orange. I guess these guys just can't get tan fast enough!
