rule of thumb for relamping please top drop? hours? metering? annually without regard for output? or run it all the way to the end of life? |
Re: rule of thumb for relamping please Top Drop only works if the unit uses the same lamps in both canopy and bench. If yes, this is a nice way to give strong lamps always - switch at about half life. Never change based on a time period - e.g. annually. Tie to performance - either meter or track hours and approximate. Rule of thumb for those tracking hours - 100W lamps - 600 hours 160W+ lamps - 400 hours |
Re: rule of thumb for relamping please Only way to know when to change is to meter them. |
Re: rule of thumb for relamping please Could someone tell me, what are the best tanning lamps? |

Re: rule of thumb for relamping please I am not a meter reader. I am not real smart about this so our policy is to purchase expensive lamps (We have been using Cosmedico for 15 years), and replace them at half life (what SunSally said). I always get a great tan in any piece of equipment i use. This procedure works for me. Long term tanners might be lured away for a short period but they always come back to a great salon; clean, friendly, professional and great tanning!!! |

Re: rule of thumb for relamping please Depends on the lamp and the bed. |
