General Lamp & Starter Question

We have been running our salons for a few years now. We have used a few different brands of lamps, but have typically stuck with one brand because of how cost effective it is.

We currently order from JK Light and they claim that they don't carry a starter that will work for all lamp wattages, but we have been seeing many of these in used equipment we have bought.

Is there still starters on the market that will work for any bulb, 10W-200W?

Also, we have been buying low pressure lamps that have a rated life of 800 hours. Our rep told us that we should typically see about 80% of this, which is 600-650hrs, which is about what we are seeing.

I am curious if there are very long rated bulbs that we would be able to put in. With multiple locations, it's becoming a pain to change bulbs frequently.

Thanks!

No you need to use 2 different starters. One is good 15-110w and the other 120-180w.

Lamp output has typically declined about 25% at about 75% of their rated life.

Re: General Lamp & Starter Question

Are there good lamps rated longer than 800 hours that aren't too expensive?

Re: General Lamp & Starter Question

Mine......only kidding

It all depends on type and wattage. Most lamps are rated about the same. Feel free to contact me directly to discuss.
