Re: Lamp help please

Brian and Robert, I believe you are both right. The 71's could be used with a cap, but why bother when the 73's just fit. Am I on the right path with that one? I've been spray tanning for years, but the UV thang is new to me, and I find this is the best place for info.

You should never have to add caps to lamps.

The F73 lamp will not fit, it will be too long for the socket.
You do need an F71 RDC, but there are companies that make the lamps correctly for the unit.

RDC lamps are designed to be run on Rapid Start systems.
Bi Pin lamps are designed to be run in pre-heat or electronic systems.

Luckily, we found that one box of LAMPS was correct so we were able to get our bed running by just replacing the original broken LAMP that started us on our RELAMPING quest. Thank you so very much to everyone for their help. I believe it might have been a clerical error on their end, but in the future I will come to one of you guys for LAMPING since thats your biz and the distributor I used in more for lotions, I believe. Is it recommended to use different distributors for lamps and parts versus lotions?
Glad your mishap was taken care of. I was puzzled at first because Four Seasons is one of the original/established industry distys left. I was taken back by their lack of concern...

And YES, you did say LAMPS at first. I was not picking on you. My reply was more generic in response. I never liked the term 'bulbs' as opposed to industry term, 'lamps'.
(When I hear 'bulbs', I vision salons from the 80's with yellow banners blowing in the outside wind advertising, "HOT BULBS"...two words, IMO, that should never be used in this industry.

By the way, you are in good 'lamp hands' with Robert/John/Brian

:-)
