Sorry the circumstances are what they are but you still get cred/props for where you find yourself...even if it is backed-in-a-corner.

On trial, for the first time ever, will be a salons right to say that UVB produces vitamin D.

We are not seeking to make health claims, and we believe this isn't one, but the State differs and thinks that ANY use of the words vitamin D (even regarding the supplements we give away) is an implied health benefit.

It is a jury trial and Dr Holick is our expert witness. We obviously believe in the merits of our case, but you roll the dice anytime you walk into a courtroom, so we will see.
sorry to just jump in on you here but according to all kinds of research it been recommended especially in our Northern climates in Canada that taking spplemates or using tanning beds emitting UVB rays to supplement vitamin B in our bodies. Dr. Mercola has studies showing vitamin D comes from the Son but also by tanning beds here's one article and you will find it here but others can be searched for on Dr. Mercola's site. sure hope they help to use as evidence in your favor

Good Luck

You will have to go through many to find all the rearch articles to prove it and I'm sure authors would love to help just for publicity for themselves when you win

Re: Wolff "Darque Tan" 160W ?????

Now I have a question, what effects do you get using 160 watt bulbs in a 180 watt machine. Normally our supplier sends bulb showing 160 - 200 watt bulbs, for some reason they shipped straight 160 watt for our 180 watt stand up. I always use it but it feels totally different from before. So is it hazardous to use?

Thanks

It makes no difference. There are only two types of lamps, HO and VHO.

HO operate in the range of 80 to 120 watts.

VHO operate in the range of 140 to 250 watts.

The wattage on the lamp is marketing. Lamps do not have wattage, just operating ranges. Ther ballast in the bed is what determines what the lamp is run at.

There will be no difference in a lamp (of the same size, length, wattage range, and type) marked 160 or 180 watts.

There is nothing hazardous in doing so based on what I just posted above.
