And we wonder why tanning is in the shape it is in. Salon owners that do not know the difference between high pressure and vhr and high levels of uvb and low levels. It just amazes me how many salon owners do not even know what they are selling. And the sad part is they are trying to give advise to someone else.

Hot Stuff,

At least some people try to help others instead of cutting them down. Yes...we are new to the industry, and luckily I've got people like you to remind me of that. I try to be open to advice and I appreciate John for providing useful information to help me better understand my products.

Yeah, but this has been happening for years on the tanning sites. You can be anybody you want to be behind the keyboard. You would cry if you saw some of the salons that give advice on these sites for years.

"X8500 ● Our quickest dark bronzing lamp. 15 minutes is all it takes to see a change in color."

8500 is a bronzing lamp?
8500 is a 15 minute lamp?
Quickest = Bronzing?

Maybe I need a drink........

I help a lot of people on this site and others and I don't mind helping you. For someone to open a business and not know the basics is not good.

If you take your car to a mechanic and when you told him there was a noise in the engine, he opened the trunk, would you leave it? Before you opened a tanning salon, you should have learned as much as you could. The info you didn't know about the lamps is a most basic info any salon owner should know.

Depending on what beds you put those 8.5 uvb lamps in, you could injure and burn someone very badly. That is why you said that you could only stay in the bed for 5 minutes. Those lamps do not belong in that stand up and maybe all of your beds.

When our critics talk about tanning beds being harmful, they are talking about salons that do not have an idea of what they are doing.

I take my tanning salons very serious and when I see someone that can do harm to them, I will speak out. Now go out and learn about what you are selling.

I know there are a lot of salons that don't have a clue John, but if the salon owners that do know what they are doing do not speak out, we are just as at fault as they are.

Re: Suncapsule VHR 48 160watt - Bronzing Lamps

I just ant to say thank you to everyone for the help!! I always try and take it slow and learn as much as possible. Even though I do not own a salon, I want to make sure I am well informed before buying anything. My wife is fair skinned that is why I am going to buy Bronzing bulbs, but first I have to finish cleaning and putting my bed together. The previous owner decided to take some of the bi pin lamp holders out and he cut the wires. So now I have to find out if I can extend the wires to put new bi pin lamp holders in. I thought I would be done putting the bed together and ordering bulbs by now, but it is taking a long time to clean everything (I am a neat freak) and then I have to put it together. But anyway THANK YOU again everyone for the help!!!
