Re: Red Light

That's because most people aren't sold on it yet. The commitment necessay for this to work, is difficult to enforce.

Re: Red Light

It is important to remember that YOU DO NOT NEED A SPECIAL PIECE OF EQUIPMENT TO HAVE RED LAMPS IN YOUR SALON. You replace red lamps just like you would tanning 100w with 100w, etc. It is much less expensive than buying a whole new piece of equipment just for that purpose. One caution...if customers are using a red lamp therapy lotion with the lamps they should not tan the same day as red lamp therapy...it cancause a burn.

Re: Red Light

Added red light less than a month ago! We converted one of our beds over. Right now we are handing out 1 complimentry card for people to try and handing out flyers with detailed info. We have a seperate release form. We also have a huge banner that reads RED LIGHT and a few things that red light does.

Re: Red Light

we have had a lot of people try it and sold several packages. I LOVE IT. We are going to do major advertisement next few months and discounts to get people in the door.

Re: Red Light

^^^^The key to the above statement is we gave a LOT of free sessions away and sold SEVERAL PACKAGES. I take the several to mean a few. Red light is a tough sell in an enviroment that causes fine lines and wrinkles.

Re: Red Light

I am ordering mine today and IMO, this is the time to do it as its slower and you can focus your marketing into getting people that wouldn't ever set foot into a tanning salon to come into one. A vast majority of my clients don't tan their face and that is a good upsell to them to rejuvinate their facial skin while also making their skin on the body tan better because of the added moisture to their skin from Red lamp. I have three base beds, turning one into Red lamp, if it doesn't fly, then they get pulled and regular lamps resume. Not a big investment.

PS. I have already pre-sold 4 packages and I hadn't even gotten them yet. They are more than already paid for.

Re: Red Light

Not a hugh investment, but close to a thousand bucks. That would cost me a weeks receipts. I could hardly recoup that cost in a year's time; besides, I'm gong to need all my base beds, come spring break---I hope.

Re: Red Light

I have, only about 2 weeks now. So far just the 4 presold packages, just made a sign for outside and the rooms and also cross marketing into our local gym and salons.
