Rep Power: 22 | Kalfasun lamps.... ..... suck. LP3 48. Metered at 200 and came to 45.2 on the 5.0, down from 60 when 40 hours were on them (factory hours). So today (should have taken a meter read before. I upped the voltage to 235v with 240 hours on lamps. Meters at 41.3 40 fact hours: 60.0 200 hours: 45.2 240 hours: 41.3 Note - meter is set on bench, not raised up. But I read it the same way every time. So dont look at the numbers themselves, but the drop. So even with a voltage increase, which I double checked wiring, I am reading pretty low at 240 hours. I know VHR beds like these chew up lamps, but even I am seeing a dramatic drop. This is pretty much the only bed I tan in. Next step - increase tan time to 15 minutes? And yes I know, Supra lamps will be another step once these are fully spent.

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Kalfasun lamps.... Agree with Robert. You don't want to be giving your customers OR staff the impression that max tan time is "negotiable" - that it is a 12 min bed, unless the lamps are getting older, then it's 15, etc Bite the bullet - relamp it. Otherwise you'll slowly lose customers and/or their confidence -- and that's a lot more expensive in the long run!! |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Kalfasun lamps.... Fixed. Did not know you could buck boost a buck booster! Just kidding. I forgot I had a few spare lamps. Short by 6, but I will pick those up this week. Anyway, metering over 60. Shall see how long these last. Amazing how white they look compared to the old, which if it were not for the reflector on back would be almost transparent!
