Which depletes first, the uva or the uvb ?

Hmmm.....I thought I was told once that the UVB impact diminishes sooner, but you will still see UVA impact longer (or proportionally more).

Would have thought Solarmeter might have said it? Or maybe it came up when I was looking at the salon that still ran 30 Minute WOODEN beds where the lamps hadn't been changed in 2++ years?? I was thinking of that salon when reading about WestsideV&T who has the HiTans with 4200 hours!

UVB is a less stable phosphor. The higher the UVB in the lamp the faster the decline.

You can really see this in lamps that are 7.5, 8.5 or 9.5% UVB. They start out smoking, but will usually hit a wall at about 400-450 hrs, then it's a fast decline from there.

I believe in a high canopy bad the UVB will stop reaching the tanner sooner just cause it's a shorter ray than UVA. I find that if you move the lamps from a high canopy to a close canopy they will perform real nice.
