Need UVB Rating For Dermatologist

I have a customer who has psoriasis and his dermatolgist reccommended that he tan in a high UVB rated bed. I was told to have him tan in the beds that have the Summer Sun 7.0's in them. He came in today and said he hasn't seen much improvement and that his doctor told him that no tanning lamp has UVB in them. I told him that was untrue. In the same conversation he says that when he tanned for 7 minutes last week he actually "burned" a little and the same doctor said that was due to the amout of UVB in the lamp. At this point it appears his doctor has no idea what she is saying. My customer asked if he could get something in writing to give to his doctor saying how much UVB is in the Summer Sun lamps. He also asked if I could give him something on how much UVB is in a 400w facial bulb. Any help would be appreciated.

That bed is fine. It takes 2-3visits a week for about a month and results will be very visible.

The 400W facials have very little UVB passing thru the filters, usually less than 1%, sometimes as high as 1.5%.

The Summer Sun 7.0 lamps is 6.5% UVB

Re: Need UVB Rating For Dermatologist

BTW...I get 100% clear up results for these folks after 2 sessions in the Hydration Station and 2 tanning sessions. Super relief after just one even.

They put on their medication cream and do a session in the HS and it just shoves that cream into the skin so much deeper than applying it to the scaly dry skin and they follow up with a short UV session.

If you have the HS do use it for them. They keep coming back when they have bad flair ups.
