Rep Power: 0 | Understanding Lamps Can someone explain to me what exactly T e times are as well as T m. Also how do you interpret the difference in lamps when the manf. only gives flux readings? What exactly is flux times versus what you get from 5.0 meter. Trying to figure out what are the best lamps to get and want to be able to compare different lamps. |

Tm = time for melanogenesis, or the formation of melanin Flux is usually measured in a sphere with a very expensive machine, flux is basically your total UV output. Unfortunately all lamp manufacturers measure lamps differently so this isn't always the best number to look at. Like Engfant said, post your bed info, lamp type, & what results you want & I'm sure we can find something you will be pleased with.

Ok here is what i got between two locations Level I- 11 sundash 332 pros and 9 touchdowns- 20 min Level II- 4 hot peppers & 4 eurgoline 400- 15 min Level III- 1 soltron shout-12 min, 1 soltron shuttle 10 min. & 1 sundash 252- 12 min. Level IV- 1 soltron dance-10 min, 1 eurgoline 800 10 mins Level V- 1 soltron shark-12 min & 1 eurgoline 850 I have always used in the past wolf bronzing suns and was thinking on going with HPK90's next because of the high uva ratios and longer lamp lifes. I would be interested in getting quotes on these lamps or the lamps you would suggest as an alternate and why you think the different lamps would be better. Email the quotes to neonbeachtan@yahoo.com if you dont want to put it out in a open post |
