Superior UV Technologies announced today that they will be donating 30 cents of every New Technology lamp sold between now and the end of February to the ITA. Superior UV Technologies is an industry leading importer and distributor of tanning lamps. Superior president Robert Klem stated “It is time for our industry to put our differences aside and combine our forces to address the proposed changes being discussed by the FDA. While I do not agree with some of the ITA’s actions over the years they are the best organization to represent our industry .” The FDA will be holding meetings starting March 25, 2010 to discuss the reclassification of indoor tanning and even the possible ban. Thank you to all the salons that helped us raise money for the ITA in December. This first check we signed on Friday represents just the money we raised in the month of December. We hope to raise even more in January and February.
