Nothing new in 5 years?

Dam I've been out of the tanning industry for over 5 years and it's like nothing has changed! No new beds? Technology? Anything???

Re: Nothing new in 5 years?

The human skin has not evolved much in the last 5 years. So if you had top beds 5 years ago you are still good.

Attitudes have changed. You either became the ultimate pessimist ,or you became the ultimate warrior.

What you chose dictates how you feel each day.I'm sure the ultimate pessimist feels just fine and is making all the correct business decisions!

Meanwhile the ultimate warrior is taking advantage of all of the latest marketing tools, has regularly updated the paint ,decor and staff training at their location/s.And get's the pleasure of having pessimist competition.

So,it depends who you ask.For some people nothing has changed.Others are making changes.

Quite a bit of new equipment offerings from Ergoline in the past few years.

Re: Nothing new in 5 years?

I have been in business over 10 years now. I still don't have a grasp on the best tanning lotions. What sells. What doesn't . It is always a trial and error. People want the fastest darkest color, but don't want to pay more than $8 for it. Hence them going and buying it from Wal-mart, Ultra, Walgreens or on the net. Then I get the fun of telling them not to use it. Ugh
So what is the latest hot buying lotion for 2016?

6 years this week for me, but who's keeping track. Then again, I'm still in the biz from a marketing and visiting perspective. It's like I never left.
