Rep Power: 23 | Re: CAPACITORS I'll say this is a common issue with older HP machines. No one ever checks the capacitors & they can cause so many issues. If your unit was made before 2008 you should really have them all checked & replace any that are ready too low. Depending on the HP unit, if 1 capacitor goes bad it will start to feed off the others, then you could have 5 or 6 that are reading very low.

See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=zj2bBk5smWk Many large tanning beds & booths have fans/blowers that also have capacitors that need to be checked if over 4-5 years old. A bad fan capacitor will actually slow the airflow rate & cause issues.

It's a bit pricey and probably overkill but if anyone wants the rolls royce of multimeters I highly recommend the Fluke 87. Buy once and it'll last forever. In reality you can probably find one for 20 bucks at harbor freight that will do the job though | |
