I'm 5 minutes and longer if I can as well. It's much better on the equipment.

if you set it for shorter than 3 go ahead and by new lamps NOW
anything shorter than 5 is tough on tanning lamps, 3 is the bare minimum, anything shorter than 3 better be Spring Break!

Ambient temperature is key factor, everyone over look this, 3 min is for the cool down process. If you keep running the bed one after the other without cool down , You will trip the breaker.

It must take at least 3 minutes for - the first customer to get dressed and get out of the room. Then you need to clean the bed. Once the next customer has undressed and applied their lotion it would be more then 3 minutes yes?

Re: do i really need to set the beds for a 3 min cool down?

I set my fans to cool at 5 minutes minimum depending on the bed, Popularity, and room size. I didn't do a proper retrofit on my salon I simply chose to move but am waiting on that to happen. until then I am running very hot and have to extend the CDT on the big ones.

I saw your post on the other site, Believe it or not they're very similar and most are on both sites. However the person that got to you on that site has a lot of knowledge and is a bit of a smart a** to newbies lol. between the 2 sites you can get any answer that you seek. Good Luck
