Ergo ambition vs classic

I have ergo classic 300 as our level 1 bed, do you think an ambition 250 can be level 2 or are they the same bed with different looks? Also do the ambitions break as much as the classics??

Re: Ergo ambition vs classic

The 300 classic is a 38 lamp, 100/120W (same thing), 3 HP facial bed.

The Ambition 250 is a 32 lamp 100/120W, 1 HP facial bed.

Most customers would probably perceive the 300 Classic as LOOKING like a bigger/better bed - and TANNING a bit better. So at BEST, they would be equivalent (both L1).

In terms of breaking, the Ergo Classic 300 was the worst designed/reliable bed they built in terms of structural issues. No other Ergo has similar issues. It is their "Edsel".........

I would have to agree. The metal arms that support the top and the plastic bevels that cover them are subject to break and crack which make the top unstable.

However, if you can keep them together, they tan great. The curved acrylics are a customer favorite.

Classic 300 has the flat - but "contoured" acrylic. Hinges tend to be the issue - the break and the canopy collapses. End cap breakage is also common.

Ambition 300 has the curved "dish" acrylic, like the Sundash 240.

Re: Ergo ambition vs classic

What about the Ambition 300 then? Is that the same or better then 300 classic. My 300 classics are starting to go. 2 are broke beyond repair really (just not worth the price of repair) so I am using them for parts for the other 4 that I have. So I need to get 2 beds to replace them, but I want a step above them not equal. I have all ergos there so I'd like to keep the same look if possible that is why I was looking at the ambitions.

If you want to have the greatest success marketing equipment levels and sell a great many upgrade tans and memberships you should create a wide separation between levels. Sunsally will surely have some great used models to supply what you need but make sure there is a distinct difference in levels.
Here is something that you can consider as a guideline.

It is very important to understand that there are only three distinct performance levels of UV tanning equipment. There is also UV free spray tanning. While many salons refer to every type of equipment they offer as a different level there are basically three types.

Level1. 100/120 watt tanning equipment: This level of equipment will produce a base tan in five to seven sessions depending on skin type.
Level2. VHO – VHO reflector tanning equipment: (140/160/180/200/220 watt) this level of equipment will generate as much color in one session as two to three sessions on level one equipment. This level also has features like HP facial lamps, shoulder tanners, aroma therapy and spray mist.
Level 3. High Pressure Tanning equipment: This level of equipment will produce an excellent tan in three sessions, and requires only one session every seven to ten days to maintain the tan.

The additional levels that are sometimes created in salons are a combination of level 1, 2 and 3 or may be a booth as opposed to a bed.

Within these levels there are many different models to choose from.

Re: Ergo ambition vs classic

I prefer the passion over the ambition...just my opinion... It is a newer bed and parts are readily available
