Rep Power: 0 | Best used High Pressure Bed I am looking into buying a new (used) high pressure bed for my salon. The best bed I have now is an Ultra Sun Solarwind 5000, so I want something stronger/bigger/better then that. I was burned when I bought the solarwind as the "repputable" company didn't tell me the bed was damaged and wired were cut and rigged so it cost me thousands to repair before I could use it. I was looking at the Velocity HP 1000, but heard ALOT of bad reviews on it, in regards to the bulbs being too far away from bed and not giving the best results. So... Any personal reccomendations would be greatly appreciated! My price range is from $5,000-$12,000 |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Best used High Pressure Bed Thats like asking what used car gets the best gas mileage. Many parameters here, like space available for bed size, proper ac/electrical for the right 'fit', demographics, clientele...you don't need the best, if your customers would never pay for it..in Atlanta, where I am, some salons demand and get up to $30 for an HP session. If you are in an area where customers would never even consider that, perhaps a hybrid bed would be a better fit... Sportarredo Master Sun is an excellent bed..also, their 'Mix' and 'Joy' Sun Italia..also good beds. May be more than 12K UWE Sunboard for a different look of HP, 12K or less Ultrasun JetPower, Turbo 2500..hybrids, but used about 12K or less Some Mods here sell pre-owned and are reputable to work with. No doubt they will charm in and offer better advice.... |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Best used High Pressure Bed I sent you a message. Yes - Black Sun is correct - "Best" is really a function of many many things. The Solarwind 5000 is actually a decent bed - but it sounds like you, unfortunately, bought from someone who didn't put out a quality used product OR stand behind what they sold. That happens a lot more often than it should. With a budget of $5-12K --- IF that includes delivery, install, new lamps AND the bed -- you will have some good options available, but they will be a little older, maybe more hours. But a good performing unit that is the right fit for YOUR salon can still be done. And Full HP - or a mix HP/VHR - could be the "best" for your salon, depending on your clientele and competition. Give me a call (614-783-5518) or shoot me an email (Ann.Wiggins.Noe@gmail.com) and I can send you some pics of possibilities and you can start narrowing it down to those that get you excited and fit what you are envisioning for your salon! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Best used High Pressure Bed Thank you. I will definitely be giving you a call. In my area the competition have beds like the Ultra Bronze 950, Future Sun and the Sunboard. So something comparable would be best for me. Here in Los Angeles, CA we charge $40 for a single session in the Ultra Bronze bed, but a lot of people do not like laying in the bed for 22 minutes. So My room size can hold a bed about the size as the solarwind bed I currently have, but I am not sure on the dimensions at this time. |

I like BIG rooms. I know real estate is expensive, but, IMO, beds (VHR/HP) should have room to 'breathe'; good air-flow around bed and not squeezed in tightly...but that's me | |

The most important thing you can do w/HP is supply lots of fresh air ..... the beds do need to "breathe". Replacement air is vital & generally 2-3 tons is needed. Personally I love the Magic636. I know of a used one ...... I'll message you.
