Rep Power: 0 | Tantrader.com Has anyone actually done business with tantrader and if so how was the outcome. Seem to quote very good prices via email but for two days i cant get some one to answer the phone. They don't even have a voicemail message for the company just the generic automated message. Makes me wonder if this is a legit business. Last edited by Robert K; 11-24-2012 at 07:49 AM. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Tantrader.com Elaboration: I purchased two beds from Joe. Then I was going to buy another bed but didn't want delivery for 2 months. I reserved the bed with a payment of $750. Two months later, the bed appeared to be sold and for months I could not get a call back from Joe or a response to emails. And most of the time the voicemailbox was full. A few months later, I was able to leave a message, and I said "I was willing to overlook the problem if he would apply what he owed me towards the purchase of a different bed". I agreed to buy an IDome from his Tantrader site. We agreed on a price. I insisted on using an escrow service to handle the transaction. He never shipped it and disappeared for a few days. When I finally got a call from him, he wanted desperately to sell me a matrix standup instead. After talking with others, I discovered that Joe did not have ownership of an IDome; by trying to sell me the matrix, he was trying to escape the web he had made. When I declined to buy the matrix, Joe disappeared altogether from my attempts to reach him. I had the escrow moneys returned but I still had to pay the fees. Also, I had new lamps delivered for the IDome and had to pay shipping and restock on those. At this point, my attempt to do business with Joe has cost me about $1200.00 |

Rep Power: 30 | Re: Tantrader.com Metatan, you bring up a good point that everyone should pay attention to. When purchasing beds from any broker get confirmation that they are actually in possesion of the bed. Several of the brokers list beds they don't themselves have because they "share" inventory with other brokers or are trying to help someone sell a bed that may be in another state in storage or still operating in a salon. In many cases they've never even seen these beds they're selling. |
