tecate capacitor - tanTALK

I had 2 capacitors burn up attaching pics they were in a sunal 2400st bed can someone tell what could has caused this. I dont see any other damage to wiring or bed any info helpful thanks

Not knowing anything about this bed, can I assume it's a model made for home use? If this is the case, it most likely just crapped out. These units are so cheaply made, the heat finally gets to them and they just crap out.

Capacitors just dry up and go bad over time. If these are the old German Sunal beds then they ran hot like a blast furnace and would cook the electrolyte out of them. Just replace it. Probably 45μf.

Its made by esb sunburst brand by sunal 24 bulb bought in 93 and has been a good one untill now.
