Acrylic questions

The acrylic broke right down the middle when me and an employee took it out. Does acrylic loose elasticity when it's been in there for a long time? I'm not sure when it was last changed. When do you change them? Every year? We were super careful with it it just didn't bend the same when I fixed a bulb the last time so I was wondering if they go bad. Thank you!

Re: Acrylic questions

They do age over time. Generally they should be changed every 1,500-2000 hours but must people wait until they break.
