SERENITY 40/3 by Tansun Elec @ 50hz

Does anyone know anything about these beds? I have been offered 3 of them but the electrical states they operate at 50hz. I have been advised not to go near them. They are 2007 models and are practically free. Could this by why??? Any advice is appreciated, Thanks!

We use Tansun 'Symphany' stand-up's here. Think you'll find that the beds themselves are very reliable and easy to work on, the problem you'll have is getting parts for them, not so much the electrical side but the cosmetic side, Tansun don't produce sunbeds anymore, but they do have a limited supply of moldings, so getting plastic parts from dstr's is near impossible (Ebay maybe?).

They also run very hot which is normal for these beds, if your customers like 'hot beds' then i personally would get them (depending on the price) on the other hand if most of your customers prefer cooler beds then you'll never get anyone on them. If you use them as a base level bed then you might find that some of level 2 and level 3 customers would use them. They do give excellent results though.

Every year 6-7 girls from Kentucky come back across here to visit family and they love them!!

Hope this helps

I'm not sure about tanning beds at 50 hz but an electric motor that was designed to rn on 50 hz will not perform as well on 60 hz. It will run and maybe turn a little faster but it won't have the torque.

Without doing a lot of research, I think 60 hz power would run the bed but it may be hard on the ballasts and fans ect... But, check it out further with a good electrician, OR GOOGLE.
