Rep Power: 0 | Electrical Help (3 phase) As I've posted before, Im opening a new salon and looking for a location. I have decided to bring in the new UWE Silver Bullet SE. The technician said that I need to have a 3 phase electrical panel. My questions are: 1) What is the cost to transfer to 3 phase 2) Will 3 phase outlets be enough power if i choose to bring in more 3 phase required units, or will I have to get one 3 phase unit per bed 3) Do most new buildings have 3 phase 4) Do all new model beds require 3 phase Any electrician I have talked to isnt fully aware of tanning beds and their electrical requirements so thank you to any one who can help me out. Also if you have any other electrical advise please let me know. |

I'm not sure if this bed is one of them - doesn't look like they sell it that way, but it's possible. Here is the link to the manual/spec sheet. http://pcmarketinguwe.com/equipment/silverbse_info.htm Generally, yes, I wouldn't want to have to convert the whole salon for just one bed. Better to buy a different bed that will fit your electrical set-up |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Electrical Help (3 phase) Find a place with 3 phase or put it in during build out. Bring in as much amperage as you can afford. I got really lucky and was able to add two panels to my salon. Had that not been an option I wouldn't have been able to afford the upgrade to a bigger panel. Even if you don't need 3 phase, you'll have it if you put it in. 3 phase will make a huge difference in wire size when adding big beds. 6 guage will run most beds that are 3 phase. Running the same bed single phase and you're probably looking at 2 guage wire. |
