Two laydowns I would consider are KBL 4000 and Sportarredo L42 http://www.kblsunbeds.com/4000 http://www.sunsettanningsupply.com/new_equipment.html You will get other opinions I am sure, but those are mine. Both European companies..the links are for USA distributors. The gym I go to has the KBLs...really nice beds |

A standup can accommodate larger clients (either body builders, or heavier clients who are using the gym to lose weight). Also fits men better who tend to be taller. Since you are in Turkey, an easier way for us to give recommendations would be for you to tell us what equipment you have the best access to there. |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Tanning beds for the Gym I have never been a fan of Ergoline..yes they are 'pretty' and popular in the USA, but not on my personal 'must have' list. They all will come with a price however. If money is an issue, which I could relate to, and if performance and quality is more important than 'pretty' (it is for me), I would look into Klafsun ( www.klafsun.com ). Once again, USA disty, but beds are made in Germany, so I do not know the Euro disty. They were called Sontegra beds in the USA, and were popular and respected. Same beds as Klafsun, just a name change. Dr muller are no longer made. At least in true sense. The beds are now made by Ultrasun and are of Sweedish orign, not German as they were. Ultrasun took over the name, but now have 100% control of manufacturing...not the same quality. If you could find pre-owned Mueller (Orbits/Sunstorms/Sungate- USA names), I'd consider that route as a money saver. You mentioned UWE. A favorite of mine which I forgot to mention. If money is no object, then UWE is who I'd go with. IMO, best bed out of Europe next to KBL and Sportarredo. (UWE Lotus and Cayene-USA names, good gym laydowns. Klafsun Galaxy, GenX, Europa, good gym beds) SunSally makes some valid points about stand-ups, but any good Euro made bed is large enough for most. All the top USA gyms near me that offer tanning have laydowns. I check them all out to get an idea of competition. I have not come across a stand-up in the popular gyms..and there are some 250lb folks in these places... Let us know how you decide. |

I'd be interested in how many in use, speak to others that have one. Check eaze of operation and maintenance, reliability.. Who manufactures the bed. Most are outsourced and private label. What is the longevity of the company, will they be there in the long term, is warranty, help available if needed.. Type of ballast (just because it says 160w, is it really? Could be 140w ballast..its like buying a car. You need to look 'under the hood' I'd prefer a better more popular name that has the track record to prove itself Personally, I do not get the pictures of tropical fruit on the beds. What's up with that?? I feel it cheapens the look of the bed..just my opinion. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Tanning beds for the Gym I have both beds & booths in each level of my tanning.(3 levels) I have all KBL equipment and they all tan vety well! BEST Level 1 = 3500 ultra's ( lay down) and a Space Tower which is a booth. Level 2= 6800 alpha's and Pure Energy Towers Level 3= I combine a number of options in this level: Hydration Station, Mon Amie ( collagen/red light), VersaSpa and a Magic Plus 4 laydown HIGH PRESSURE BED & a Saturn standup high pressure. Very pricey start up but the proof is in the pudding! Give your customers the best product with fantastic prices. They won't be able to catch up!
