Which bed is better?

Our salon is trying to decide between the Megasun T200 and the Megasun T230, does anyone have any experience with Megasun beds
or know the significant difference between these two beds, primarily focusing on the bulb types.

Re: Which bed is better?

They are pretty much the exact same unit & use the same lamps. The T230 is going to be more powerful because it uses a 230W ballast. The T200 will get a slightly better lamp life. So it's a trade off, more power or more lamp life.

The T200 uses 52- 2 meter lamp powered at 180 watts.
The T230 uses 52- 2 meter lamp powered at 230 watts.

The KBL Tower T230 is a pretty popular unit here in the states, I don't think they even offer the T200 here.

Re: Which bed is better?

How does that much difference in wattage affect time in the beds?
Basically he also needs to know how the UVB percentage in bulbs compares
to each other...let me try to explain. At what UVB percentage in a 180w bed
is equivilant to lets say..8.5 in a 160 w bed. I understand there is more power from
180w bulbs which enables you to tan at a lower percentage of UVB yet experience the same effects. but my manager is confused and will not take my word for it so I need someone to explain it so I can show him.
