Talking How do I know what beds cost?

Iam looking at a standup SunDome XL48 with aprox 1,000 hours on it. They are asking $7,000 for delevery and set up. How do I know if that is a good price or not? Is there a website I can go to to research beds before I buy? I am also looking into getting another 12 minute bed so want to price those out as well. I have been getting my beds through Stay Tan West.
Thank you so much,
Sami~

I have a 2007 with under 1000 hours on it. Mint condition. $4,500 with brand new lamps!

Re: How do I know what beds cost?

$7k is not a bad price, if its a 2009/20010. If not, get Roberts booth. By the way, I have a couple and think they suck. The lamp geometry is just not right.

Re: How do I know what beds cost?

www.2ndsuntan.com is a good starting point. Its basically just classifieds, not a Kelly BlueBook of beds. But if you see a bed is selling for no more than $5k for a model year but someone is asking you to buy for $9k, you will know its probably on the high side.

Shop around. Look at the for sale section on this site. If you are interested in the Sundome give me a call.

Friends Re: How do I know what beds cost?

The best way to learn about which beds and booths to buy is from talking with other salon owners and actually going out and trying the different ones that are available. It is the most important investment you are making in your salon so it is important to make an educated one. My last bit of advice is to buy for the tan not the trinkets and gadgets because the tan is what keeps a client happy and coming back.

Re: How do I know what beds cost?

My wife and I just bought our first one offline. There are so many tanning beds to choose from it is crazy. We had to do a lot of research before the purchase.
