StarPower 548 and Solaris 442 worth - tanTALK

First of all let me say its a pleasure to be here. I've enjoyed reading several of the posts and have found a lot of useful information.

I'm new to the tanning industry and my wife and I are opening a salon in a small town. I have found a couple used tanning beds front a dealer and was wondering if the forum could tell me if its sounds good.

He has a StarPower 548 and a choice of a Blue Solaris 442 or a Stainless Salaris 442 and is asking $9600 for the pair. They come with all new bulbs, buckboosters and a 90 day P&L warranty. The Starpower has 800 hours, the Blue Solaris is about 2500 and the Stainless has around 1100.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'd stay away from the solaris, To much bed , not enough lamps

The ETS Beds are not as bad as everyone says. They work just fine and tan well too. We used to have the very beds you mention and customers liked them.

I wouldn't pay over $8k for the Starpower & The Silver 442, I would probably think closer to $7k but if they are delivered and installed, I would pay $8k.

The real question is are these the right beds for you? What does your competition have? How many beds are you going with and what are the others? There are great deals on newer beds that are much better out there but without other information we cannot help you.

If you would like some friendly advice, give us some specifics and we'll do our best to help you out.

I have over 70 ETS beds and the solaris is the least used.

Correction the solaris has 640 hours on it.

Not a bad beds what year are they? Is the star power red or blue?
