Rep Power: 0 | FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap We saw the both at the show, It seems like many of you have the FormoStar but I have not heard much on the FIT bodywrap. We have a small salon and only one person works at a time, we thought about adding one of these and liked that the FIT would not require an as much attention like the Formostar. Did anyone else see both and what did you think them? Do you think it is worth it to add one to a salon? We already have the Turbosonic and we have a lot of clients that like it so we think this might go over just as well. thanks susan |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap Susan, We've seen both at the show and I have to say, the FIT wins from my initial perspective. We are still researching. Formostar has been around for a while, FIT is brand new. I do however think the FIT is a much better system and as you said, time and people can be a big savings with the FIT. The real question you need to ask yourself is what is going to generate more revenue per/sq ft of the space this is going to occupy. If you market this correctly and aggresively, you should be able to make more but again, I don't know your salon or your demographics. I know their are some that did well with formostar but ended up selling as their group was more interested in tanning. It was a business decision as the tanning made them more money. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap It wont be replacing any beds, the location that we are looking at adding it to is in the lobby area and it is not quite big enough for a bed. My husband is going to enclose the room. Right now that space is used for our turbo sonic but we could move that into the stand up room. We have a mixture of clients from the age of 18-50. This town has around 22k people around 6k students. There is only our salon or one other tanning salon in this town. We are hoping this would bring other people into our salon and maybe help out during the slower times. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap That sounds like a good idea if you don't have a space for tanning. It's something you can offer year round. Talk to owners of both systems who are successful with it. I think Fit has a salon in San Diego who created it and has had great success. I know there are salons with the Formostar that can give you some good advice. You'll hear more of the con's from Formostar as it's been around longer versus any con's from the Fit. Make sure you do your due diligence. For us, atleast on the surface, I like the Fit better. We plan on investigating both further. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap I spoke with a guy in San Jose, california that has owned the FIT since July 2009 and he said he did 600 hours already. Some of that was family and friends trying it. He said he has about 30% of the people that will purchase another package. I was not sure if that number was very good or not. He was really happy with it but I wanted to see if anyone else has used it to see what they thought and how many of their clients has purchased repeat packages. Thanks for your help susan |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap At they show they were selling it for $8k and they suggested you sell 5 sessions for $199.00 as a promo. I think they said around $75-$100 after that. I talked to one owner in California that really liked it and they did a lot of sessions on their unit and another that said they liked the Formostar better and switched back to the formostar after a couple of months. I think we are going to wait awhile and get used to our salon (we just took over in October) and then later in the year or next year look into it again, If anyone owns one I would love to hear how they are doing with it. Rep Power: 0 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap Glad I logged on to read the reviews on the Formostar v FIT Body Wrap. Actually, I just purchased this salon (first time owner) in July and have added a Velocity HP1000 to my assortment of tanning beds. Although it generates a lot of attention and I have added a new package and have several people doing EFTs with the velocity, I was looking for something else to add to my "tanning boutique." Being new in the industry, I did not attend the Nashville convention. Wish I could have. However, I received the magazine which showcased the FIT BodyWrap. I got in touch with Dean from the company and am happy to say that I have a system shipping out to me this week !!! The total cost was $6995 and it includes 100 brochures, a poster, 25 small booster sprays, 10 large booster sprays, and the FIT system. If you want the number directly to Dean Rooke let me know. I was going to replace a level 3 tanning bed with the FIT, but after reading these posts I'm seriously debating if I should turn my very large Velocity room into a dual room. Sometimes that bed doesn't see one person all day and with appointments for the FIT, I'm sure I can convert the room into a dual purpose room without compromising a level 3 bed. I'm excited. |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap Denise, you chose maybe the worst HP bed ever made when you bought the Velocity. There are so many better HP beds out there. For me personally, I would not put that bed in my salon if the company paid me to.
