I will certainly re-examine the specs on the Chinese website in comparison to The FIT as well as The Sudatonic. As far as the perceived "problem" w/The Formostar's Leg & arm pads- years ago, the Arm pads were a problem. They did in fact fail far too often. The problem was the dimensions. They were too wide & when a customer would flex their arms to talk on their cell phone or get a drink of water they would bend & crimp the pads excessively. The size of the pads were changed as well as (ALL of the pads) making the heating element portions of the pads MUCH, MUCH STRONGER. The pads are now virtually indestructible. Of course, the possibility for a problem always exists but the extent of the re-design has been so successful, that I have heard of no problems w/the newer style pads. The Formostar Pads do not come into direct contact w/a clients skin. They are much too powerful to do so. This is a positive as a client must be fully clothed, thus no modesty issues. Again, I will do some additional investigation as far as any comparisons of "sleeping bag" style wraps to the Chinese models. |

They are all 4 zone, all made in China, FIT & Sudatonic claim to operate @ a max of 130 degrees & alibaba bags 140 degrees. They are all 36V output & have been documented to have had problems catching on fire. The warranties are similar ( FIT only warranties their bags for 4 months, the console is 1 year) They all probably do a nice job..... not nearly as good as Formostar in my opinion ( I have tried them all). My point really is that for a fraction of the cost, you can get for all intents & purposes a very similar bag. Last edited by bronzeman11; 01-06-2014 at 05:34 PM. |

The bottom is not the same that flap falls open and lets heat out the bottom. I only see two wires going to the unit the FIT has 4 plus an on off switch to the main unit for the top and those units are not TMAX compatible.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap I have the FIT BodyWrap and I'm just not sure about the hype about it. It does not burn the calories it is advertising ... and the clean up is not as easy as anticipated. The coats that the clients wear are not sturdy enough to keep all the sweat inside. Not one person so far has not created a puddle of sweat for me to clean up afterwards. Wear gloves to clean up after them. I supply two large black towels for them to use. One for under their head because otherwise the top of the blanket will get really wet. When you sterilize the inside of the blanket, you cannot possibly put another person in there right away. It is wet from their sweat and from sterilizing the blanket. I imagine that I will have to schedule clients at least 2 hours apart in order to give the unit time to dry. Still on the fence with this one. |

Even single purchases are under $1,000 ( far less) Yes, that particular website continues to use the same picture (2 wires/zones) but they do have FOUR zone as well. That's why I included two different links. There are many that ARE both 4 zone as well as TMax compatible. I initially was reacting to the two bag type companies bashing Formostar & making absurd claims. I generally don't bash the competition but felt I needed to respond. I still maintain that for what they charge, FIT as well as Sudatonic don't offer much more than these Chinese bags offered at a fraction of the price. |

I have sold many Formostars to places that had "bag style" units & generally had to wait over 90 minutes between sessions as cleanup was a *****! I would schedule on the hour & when I was booked non stop would occasionally go 75 minutes to "catch up"! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: FormoStar InfraRed Body Wrap VS Fit Bodywrap I have the Sudatonic Body Wrap and schedule back-to-back all the time. There is no mess and cleanup issues with their disposable body suit as it retains the perspiration which means easy clean up, keeps the inside of the wrap clean/dry and sanitary. I have been doing the body wraps for almost 2 years with no issues and have done a lot of wraps. Denise, you should try out their disposable body suits... |

When I had one, the heat sensors (which I felt were poor quality) failed often & my unit didn't cycle off & actually caught on fire! But I guess it's like everything else..... some people love 'em & some people don't! Continued good luck! |
