Rep Power: 17 ![]() | High pressure or No high pressure I am really frustrated because I can't make a decision. I am in a market with Desert sun and they offer High pressure. I have 2002-2004 beds currently and was wondering if adding a high pressure would boost my sales. I think I am currently losing 4000 to 6000 dollars a month to them. I want to get a matrix glammy to make them just go away. There can be only one! thanks in advance for you opinion and guidance. Greg |

Will it make Desert Sun "go away" or take away your losses of $4-6K/mo? If you understand how to price & present HP, yes, it can definitely boost sales! The glammy is a nice unit - although it is a "small" hp, and there will definitely be others on the market that will "beat" it - including potentially their HP (what do they use - Ergo 1050?). But it does the job and gives a good result for the money. Looking at your lineup, you are definitely slanted toward the lower end. With the 548 at your top end bed (probably that and the Luxura), in the Starpower, you don't yet have a "full VHR" (since it is 100W in the bench, 160W in the canopy). So it LOOKS like a "big bed" - but the results are less than many. I'm going to assume your one location is: 3 332's - 100W 4 432's- 100W 1 Starpower - 160W/100W 1 standup (or 2?) and the other location is the others. If it were me - I would start making some changes to upgrade the equipment. For example - a mix I would like better would be: 2-3 332's 2 432's + 1 Sundome (price at same level) 2 Starpowers 2 full VHR units (46-52 lamp 160W all around, facials, ...) 1 HP This lineup would have much more profit potential - and give much better results. Desert Sun will have advertising advantages because they have multiple locations and so they get more "bang for their buck". You have the advantage of your data base -you have the names & addresses (and emails?) of KNOWN tanners who have been to your salon. Reach out to them - make an "offer", let them know you have upgraded equipment, etc. Work to keep your customers YOURS! |

This is a very affordable yet profitable level. 46+ x 160-200w lamps 4 x 500w+ parabolic facials some bells and whistles Examples: UWE S-Class or Cayenne Ergoline 600, 800 or maybe a 650 Dr Muller Sungate or Icon KBL 5600, 6800 or Max 10 Many of these you can find used for 10-15K |
