Rep Power: 16 | Heartland Problems Hey all, found this site, think it is so awesome and sure wish I would have found it before I started my biz....So, thought I would tell you a story. Started my salon and didn't have a clue what I was doing. My bad, but I guess we all start somewhere... If I am outta line, in the wrong forum, etc., please let me know 'cuz it's not my intent. Just wondering what you would do? Heartland contacted me over and over (and over), so I bought bulbs. products and a Heartland Tribute 100 watt stand-up unit. I ordered the bulbs I needed. After I ordered the bulbs, I lost 2 in my bed, so then had serious need for them. They came in 2 weeks late, then they had sent the wrong bulbs. OK, my bed is still down and losing money daily, tell them so, then they accused me of not knowing the right bulbs to order, so then had to prove that I ordered the right bulbs and they sent the wrong bulbs, did that, then they said they were sorry and would send out the right ones and "make it up to me". Then they sent the wrong bulbs AGAIN another week later, had to prove to them again that they had sent the wrong bulbs. Super sorry, "will make it up to me". Two separate orders of wrong bulbs, not sure if they were mismarked in the warehouse or what. Meanwhile, the product orders came in with broken bottles, wrinkled posters, eye goggles that didn't have string holes in them, etc. So, I wait for them "to make it up to me". Nothing, then the Tribute unit was on the way. The disty called me and wanted me to make another order and I reminded that they were supposed to "make it up to me". I was then told that they wouldn't be able to do that until I made ANOTHER order. Really???? Fine, did that and received a bunch of not for resale packets. Not real helpful. I was just starting out and money was sooo tight. In the meantime, this Tribute came in and is absoutely terrible. I can put a redhead in that has never tanned before for full time 15 minutes and they barely get a freckle. I am now stuck with this thing that I absolutely hate and is dead weight. It has 100 watt Rave bulbs and a fan that is an absolute vortex, so basically the bulbs are barely warm and this fan is like a super sucker 2000, for lack of better words. So, you just stand inside the unit freezing your butt off. Very, very uncomfotable experience. Needless to say, I cannot get anyone to tan in there. So, I was forced to do the "unthinkable"....yes, I disabled the fan to attempt to use this as a level 1 unit which no one gets anything from anyway. I'm really frustrated with this company and not really sure what to do now. It's been almost a year next month. Can anyone help melp me, I would be sooo appreciative!

Tanning beds need a certain voltage, 230+. What is your wall voltage and do you have a buckbooster? <--- If you can not answer that then you can certainly not blame Heartland.

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Heartland Problems Good lamp but they are probaqbly to far away from the body to do much good in a booth. Booths need to be 160w or higher. Is your voltage 220v? If so boost it to 230-235v and you will see a difference. |
