Back Sun REflex?

The salon I just purchased has a Tan America standup with Black Sun Reflex 160w lamps. Is this company still in business? 2 lamps just went out and I need to replace them. Their website is up but their phone number is a fax I believe. If this company is no longer making lamps, any suggestion on what kind of lamps I should repalce them with?

Re: Back Sun REflex?

Did you check the starters? Its not too common for a lamp to go out. Usually if they fail they fail in the first few hours of use. Either that or these lamps are way beyond rated life.

Re: Back Sun REflex?

Black Sun is no longer in business. Unless they had a stock pile of these lamps the lamps are at least 3 years old and if the salon tans a decent amount of people the lamps need to be replaced.

Re: Back Sun REflex?

Thanks for the info, it was clear to me from day one that this salon was previously managed in a very shotty way. I've spent the last few months trying to get everything on the up and up. I'm sure its not the starter, more than likely, these lamps are way beyond their rated life. For some reason Helios has not been tracking the lamp life on this particular bed...
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind of lamps I should replace them with? We sell this bed as a level 3 and its our only level 3 bed so I need lamps that will make a definite difference. Its a 15 minute bed, its older but people love it.
