Rep Power: 22 | Bed length... What would you consider to be a "safe" length of a bed to build a room around? I have a room that I think I am going to convert for adding a bed. I can put the bed two ways in the room. The ideal way would have it facing double doors. This would "show-off" the bed and be the best position. But the width I have to work with is 89 inches before a small water main gets in the way. The room is much wider though and I will put a box bench over the water works. The other option is to put in on another longer wall. But then when the double doors are open the bed it basically half-hidden from view. I don't want to limit myself too much as to what could be put in the room, hence the double doors. Think I could plan around an 89" width? I ask because the door locations depend on it and the wall is going up soon.

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Bed length... Hi Robert. Not really thinking of any particular bed which is why I want to be as flexible with the room setup as possible.
