Need advice - old beds, new owner

I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the salon I wrote about in the Newbie's section (so many different offers and counter offers but in the end, I think I'm going to pick up their payments on the beds and toss in a few grand and call it a day).

Anyhoo - here are the beds:

2 2003 Sunvision ZX30
1 2003 Solaris Plus Speed 42 (3 facial tanners)
1 2000 Sunstar 52 bulb (5 facial tanners)
2 2000 Sunvision ZX30

I need to go through and see which ones are in which rooms but I'm PRETTY sure they've been good about relamping. That said, I'm also PRETTY sure I've laid in 4 of basically the same beds (the 2000 and 2003 Sunvision ZX30's should be approx the same, no?) and have had different results.

So.....assuming they don't have owner manuals (which I don't know about - just trying to get myself prepared and also point out to them I could need to come up with money to relamp and lower the price) what should each have in them?

And what are "the best" brand of bulbs to buy and best distributors. Yes I know I'll get a lot of different answers, but I'll see who gets the most votes ;)

Thanks everyone for all your help here!! I've done so much bookmarking and copying and pasting advice and info I'm getting a really thick folder going. And I'm going to need a trip to the Bahamas if the deal falls through :(

Go to IST and look up last years owner choice awards... this is info you can get by searching bulbs and reading... that way you wont have to wait for the responses... everybody has their favorites. I buy all reflector bulbs for every level bed. I like the results better.

You can split hairs on trying to find the "best" lamp all day long - or go to someone who is a known expert and honest and let them give you recommendations and don't sweat it too much.

John Hayes at URI in Cleveland (www.uriworld.com) has been on these boards for years, had BUNDLES of compliments and NEVER a bad word spoken about his recommendations or prices. Not to say there aren't others who are also good -- but giving John a call is the fast track to getting good lamps at good prices that give good results! Tell him your mix, what you are trying to do - and he will give you a couple of good choices.

Awesome - thanks SS :) IF this thing goes through (I'm pretty much at the point of nail biting) I will for sure contact him. This is a small town surrounded by a lot of other small towns and I seriously doubt we have anyone who even SLIGHTLY resembles an "expert" here. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some bulbs (not the salon I'm trying to buy!) are purchased at Walmart, lol.
