Is this a decent price????

I have an opportunity to purchase 5 brand new 15 minute Sundash 332-1's (w/Facial) with electronic ballasts for $3,900/piece. I was informed that the beds are originally $5,500. The distributor is offering to take my 4 older 20 minute 1997 SUNDASH R32B Gold's that are in need of some TLC (new acrylics/paint/decals/hardware/fans) as trade-in's and in one day they will come to my salon and remove the 4 old and install the 5 new. I am currently having a hard time getting my older sundashes to work correctly and because I only have 8 total beds in my salon when 1 or 2 beds goes down it really hurts my business. I realized I need to increase the total amount of beds in the salon plus a quicker turn around time of 15 minutes would only help me in the end. Does anyone have any input or opinion's on those beds? I need to make a decision quick and I'd hate to make the wrong one.

Please help this newbie salon owner, i'm counting on this community for professional advice.

Thanks

Re: Is this a decent price????

Is that the price with the trades? Or is that the sale price and then they are giving you $ back for your trades?

Question Re: Is this a decent price????

The price includes the trade-in's as well. Because I'm trading in 4 and looking to purchase 5 it looks like they are charging me $4,300 per bed and then giving me $2,000 off for the trade-in (4 beds @ $500/piece trade-in). In the end, the total cost will be $3,900/per bed out of my pocket or $19,500.00 for 5 new beds installed. Hopefully that helps. Do you know what type of mark up there are with new beds? What would be a good starting point for me to counter on with price? Maybe $3,250.00 per bed?

It doesn't seem like a bad deal. You're getting rid of the headache of trying to market your old beds. Old out, in with the new=clean deal.

Re: Is this a decent price????

Those 1997's have zero $$$ value. I was paying around $5,200 for those beds
four years ago. Take the deal.

Agree - with delivery and install, on those 5 beds, that is a very nice price!

Re: Is this a decent price????

From what everyone says, I would take the deal. I don't do much with JK, just some local repair work, so I am not that familiar with their pricing. I know they are one of the better companies that will still be around in 5 yrs!
