Energy Efficient Tanning Bed

Is there such thing as an energy efficient commercial tanning bed? A line of beds that use less energy that still succeed in tanning customers.

Here's the situation... I have basically reached electrical capacity at my location...but I still have left over space and we have been wicked busy! I need more beds for all these people.

I was thinking about moving some things around, possibly trading in some units for more efficient ones if they exist...

Ideas?

Nevermind that....their FUSION TAN spray booth also has High Pressure lamps....so you tan while you get sprayed. That's COOL.

Re: Energy Efficient Tanning Bed

YUPPERS...and i believe i read somewhere that the LED lights can be tuned to tan like a VHR or even an HP bed.

They are fairly inexpensive as well....i believe like $15-$18k or something like that.

Imagine that....metering your bed after 5,000 hours and it meters the same as the day you bought it. Never have to change lamps....

Re: Energy Efficient Tanning Bed

One problem I see with that is, no heat. It would be a good thing on a/c savings, but if you have a salon in a cold climate area and people like the warmth of a tanning bed, nuttin like gettin buck naked and hitting a cold tanning bed.

Re: Energy Efficient Tanning Bed

Yeah, that LED bed is about as real as my 15inch python that lives in me pantaloons.

What's the wavelength that these LEDs put out again? What's the effective distance these things run at?

Who says 50000LEDs won't be warm and if they are in fact cold, will you have to rely on blasting the room with heat to warm it up?
