Classic Leg tanner wiring???

I bought a leg tanner, i know please don't throw anything at me!! And was not sent the manual for it. it has no plug connected as of yet, just wires. Can anyone let me know if this is 30 amp or what the heck it needs!! the electrician is coming tomorrow.

Re: Classic Leg tanner wiring???

Circuit is 20 Amps - 220 volts - single phase. Unit pulls 10-12 amps or less, depending on voltage

Will run better with 240v, maybe a little warm, if it doesn't have fans on top the unit (version 2 has the fans)

Re: Classic Leg tanner wiring???

The power cord has five wires. This is so the unit can be converted between single and three phase without having to change the cord. If you run it single phase, which most do, you would pair up the conductors and the fifth is a ground, 1 and 2 are L1 and 3 and 4 are L2. You can slide the drawer out to confirm it.

If you wanted to use this unit three phase then there are some jumpers in the drawer that you move and then you only need 1, 2, 3, in the power cord and the fourth wire is not used. The fifth, the ground is always used of course.

The units are shipped for 20 amp single phase. You can run them on 208 without a booster with good output but can be bumped 230 if you want. At 208 it puts out 65 mw/cm² A+B.

Re: Classic Leg tanner wiring???

Best way is to wrap all wires snuggly around the body of the unit and dump it into a deep lake or other body of water.

Is there anyway that I could get you to send me a copy of the owners manual for the Classic Legs HL 38.
