Re: new bulbs

I just rebulbed my 15 minute kiss and my 15 minute ambition 250, ergoline has the true 120watt bulbs, most other companies had 100 watt with a 120 watt stamp. Per buld cost was $10.15...

Re: new bulbs

ah.....your lamp is a 100watt with a 120watt stamp :-)

What is a true 120w?? No such thing except if it is 2m long.

Good salesman though!

Re: new bulbs

Ballasts can be labeled just like bulbs. More importantly though bulbs run in a range of operating wattages. Any quality 100w lamp will work the same as any "labeled" 120w lamp. I have been in this business for 14 years now from owning salons to dveloping lamp lines. I assure you that the whole 120watt lamp thing is a way to charge more for the lamps. I know for a fact that it is a labeling game but if you want to spend extra on lamps labeled 120w go ahead.

PS many companies now charge the same for 120w as 100w since they do not pay any extra....
Shop around. A good 120w non R goes for about $8 and a R goes for about $9

I agree, its like Cosmolux and Wolff lamps. Both are made in Canada at Sylvanias plant.Made by the same equipment with nearly identical specs.I did my research and will never pay for a cosmo lamp when the wolffs are always cheaper

Another example of overcharging and relabelling the same lamp.

Re: new bulbs

Many distributors now sell "120w" lamps.

They may not get that lamp but they will have a very similiar if not identical lamp. How much did you pay?
