Rep Power: 22 | Re: new bulbs Ballasts can be labeled just like bulbs. More importantly though bulbs run in a range of operating wattages. Any quality 100w lamp will work the same as any "labeled" 120w lamp. I have been in this business for 14 years now from owning salons to dveloping lamp lines. I assure you that the whole 120watt lamp thing is a way to charge more for the lamps. I know for a fact that it is a labeling game but if you want to spend extra on lamps labeled 120w go ahead. PS many companies now charge the same for 120w as 100w since they do not pay any extra.... Shop around. A good 120w non R goes for about $8 and a R goes for about $9 |
