Re: Dr Kern Tanning beds

I personaly have no trouble removing the acrylic. I use a window tool and start at the left and move it across the acrlic untill it is completely out. The bottom can be done the same way and you can use a suction cup to pull the front lip out. In regards to heat. All lampholders will burn if overheated. Yours are definetly overheated if your loosing lamps at one month. Check your voltage and provide proper air conditioning. Also be sure youre lamps are well seated on the ends when you put them end. This advise applies to all beds with clip in facial lamps.

Re: Dr Kern Tanning beds

We have had the same issues with our beds. We go through face lamps all the time. We have tried every brand out there and still they go out. It usually requires 2 of us when taking out acrylics. My husband can do it alone but very difficult. The maintenance on these is a nightmare. Difficult to change out parts. I wouldn't purchase these again that is for sure.

Well I am a female owner of 4 Dr kern beds and have no problem in changing acrylics myself...did you ever measure your acrylics before ordering new ones...Dr kern rocks sorry you've had so much trouble...maybe you should learn how to break them down properly....and yes the crazy Germans could have designed an easier way to replace fans but every other part is very easy to remove and maintain.......

Re: Dr Kern Tanning beds

changing facial bulbs requires you to clean them with rubbing alcohol after putting the bulbs in also make sure they are seated right and move easily...must not have any oil from you hands on the bulb or they will continue to go out.....mine last months before I ever change them...I also break down my beds every two months and not only clean all the bulbs, fans but also clean everypart of the bed especially the acrilics to get rid of all the dead skin and dust...to all you new salon owers

Re: Dr Kern Tanning beds

is there a reason you rehashed a thread from over a year ago on your first 3 posts?
