30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

I have a Doctor Kern Dometic 2400. It currently has brilliance 5.0's in the canopy and bench and we use it for 30 minute sessions (in my home). I am planning on re-lamping soon, and perhaps selling. If I sell the bed, I need a compatible lamp that can be ran for 30 minutes and of high quality. There is no sticker on the bed saying what type of lamps to use, there was one under the acrylic on the canopy, but it peeled off. What would you recommend to re-lamp it with? I have a local salon interested in it, and we are in Ohio, which is regulated.

Re: 30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

I'm thinking they are 100watt lamps.

Get Goldarium9K90s. They will knock a tan on ya something unreal in 30min. REAL LOW UVB.

Re: 30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

Now will they be compatible with the bed? Also, they aren't reflectors right? It is a 100 watt bi-pin bed.

Re: 30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

Sure they will. That's the only lamp that would come CLOSE to a 30min lamp. Other than that you'd have to change it over to a 20min timer and use a different lamp BUT this cosmedico goldarium9K90 should work fine at 30min.

Re: 30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

Dump the brilliance 5.0's. They are a 15-20 min lamp.

Let the purchaser relamp it.

Re: 30 Minute Bed/Lamp Questions

this bed originally had the Bellarium 100 watt lamps in it. As Brian said let the purchaser relamp it. Most that still have this unit run 20 min lamps in it. This unit has it's own built in single reflectors for each lamp so don't put a reflector lamp in it.

Can you run it for 30 in a regulated state?
