Re: Tanses

How can they have a 160watt setup with 7min timer is beyond me. I was just reading the specs and I don't get it...until I read this:

5) Use of German made Cosmedico’s choke ballasts for the highest reliability in the industry; also allows running the lamps at 240 Volts and at 185 watts without requiring any so-called 185 watt or 200 watt lamp/ballast system for the highest performance possible.

What the **** does that mean? Aren't all tanning beds running at 240volts?

How do they get 7min out of a VHR that's good for 10-15min in every other bed? I don't care if it's ON TOP OF YOU. That just means you'll FRY from the heat in 7min.

How would the facials ever be effective at 7min?

Re: Tanses

also I noticed that the bench lamps are RIGHT THERE. Not dropped. That'll be a roaster.

Then you have to remember that the bed's 4MED rating is based on the strongest part of the bed (I would think).

I HOPE it's not the base of the bed that's hitting the 7min mark first.

Re: Tanses

Matt,

We have 3 52/160W VHR Tanses and they meter in the 90's and taper off to 75+ after about 100 hours on the lamps. They are a TRUE 7 minute bed and perform KILLER.

I can't stand the look, but i haven't tanned on anything that beats the performance. You want similar performance and you're looking at Sungates. In my opinion, Tanses will out tan the Sungates in 7 min.

Only reason we're not happy with Tanses is cuz the looks don't call for $25-$30/session like Sungates get here all day long. They will get you $12-$15/session cuz they look like industrial units.

We also have 2 52/100W Tanses that meter in the 60-70's and give phenominal results.

We are looking to get rid of some of the Tanses and get Sungates....you looking to do some kind of a trade if you have any Sungates?

Re: Tanses

Din is right about looks... after having the THP 24/24 I was going to sell it just after 6 months. Nobody would tan in it they all wanted the matrix or the dr. mueller 40/3's instead. I'm glad I didn't give up though.... once I started giving away some free upgrades people got hooked on it. I think I would still like to trade it tho for an HP standup.

I do get $20 a session.

Re: Tanses

We have the 1998 and 2001 models which we bought NEW back then.....they've changed them recently to light up and have fans etc....

the ones we have DON"T have body fans and we added big fans at foot of bed.

No facials in the ones we have either.

the looks haven't come all that far along but better than they used to be.

Re: Tanses

Din we had to put a high powered fan at the head of the bed. Are you familiar with the side fans? I just don't understand them. They don't do anything to cool you down they are noisey and they are only on ONE side of your body anyway. Ours has a cute purple neon light but the guy installing the bed broke it and when the new one came nobody guided us on how to install it once Angela left. It's still in a box.
