Rep Power: 0 | New Magic 636 We have had this bed for a few weeks, and we have found that people don't see huge results until their 3rd tan ... they feel like they get more from our Ergoline 600 bed ... BUT, again, people who have gone on to the 3rd tan, see an incredible difference after the 3rd tan. (more overall color than if they had 3 tans on the 600). I have to ask - is this common for any of you with HP systems? What is your sales pitch - if it is. This is our first HP bed, and I tried it today (for the 2nd time) - and it is great with the mist option, but quite hot if you don't use the mist option (water). I used it so much the arcrylic was really wet when I got out. I am going to tan in it 3x to see this "incredible" color after the 3rd tan. It's just going to be hard to get people to pay more for a bed/tan if they don't see immediate results.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: New Magic 636 You and your staff have to educate your clients also. They tan deeper, darker and it last longer in the your High Pressure beds but color will be delayed when compared to your VHR units. I'm not familiar with the Magic but I recall Hot Stuff owns one maybe they can chime in and go over your glass and settings which I know can be changed and make sure your voltage is correct make sure your unit is all correct if it is then it comes down to educating your clients and staff. Also do you have 2-3 tons of AC going in that room? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: New Magic 636 Tanchix ... yes, we have the mug 6 glass - thanks to you guys, I asked for it when we ordered the bed! Thanks Matt, that info on HP really does help alot. I have been reading up so much on the bed and HP, and even wrote out informative sheets on it for the employees - to help them explain it to the customers. For some reason, in all the HP articles I have read - they don't elaborate on the fact that your color comes slower (INTITIALLY) ... because, since it is so much more efficient, after multiple sessions you really are darker with HP. It's just those first 1-2 sessions where you don't see the immediate results. I have very little color right now, and I did a full 10 minutes in the Magic yesterday and did not burn. Had I gone in our Ergoline 500 or 600, my back would have burned, and been red today. And yet, I do look better (I'm not transparent anymore). Seeing as the 3rd tan is where you turn the corner, and you see the best results at that point ... we are offering $25 off our 3 tan package as a promo for the bed. No one else around us has "TRUE" HP, so this is a new beast for the area.

Rep Power: 20 | Re: New Magic 636 What type of spacing do you suggest to your customers? Are you putting your customers in the bed long enough the first time? There are a lot of questions that can play a part of the customer's tanning process. When Patrik sold me my 2 magic's, he suggested that customers tan in this bed twice the first week and then maintain once every 7-10 days up to a 21 day period of time. This is what we suggest to our customers and the coloring is great and they are very pleased. You just have to make sure that you tell your customers it is not immediate coloring like the other beds because there is less reddening. Yes no matter what you do you may have a couple of people that aren't pleased, but this goes for any type of bed.

The Magic is only a 12 min max and we normally start our customers at 8-9 if they are fairly pale and then move them up if there weren't any problems. Who installed your Magic? Was it Matias?

Rep Power: 21 | Re: New Magic 636 Carlsbad, maybe I can help a little. We start everyone out the first time 9-10 minutes. If they are really pale around 8 minutes. If a person did okay in the 9 -10 minute session, we boost them to the full 12 minute session. We suggest 2-3 sesions the first week. A person that is pale may need an extra session. We also suggest that the person uses a sticker to show them where they started at and where they ended up at. The HP tan is not going to show radical color the first couple of sessions. You should show some color after the first session but not like a vhr bed. Most people equate redness with getting a tan. You will not get this from the Magic. You may get some slight pinkness after the session. I have had only 2 customers that did not like the Magic and these were the die hard vhr users. You know the type, the ones that can never get dark enough. If you have a meter the bed should be around 130. If you don't, get one, because it is like having an exotic sportscar without a speedometer. You know you are going fast, just not how fast. I boost the bed when it gets to around 110-115 back to 130. This feature is what makes the Magic different than all the other beds out there. Take the original Matrix, it reads in the high 70's low 80's on a 5.0 meter, but that is the best it is going to do because the lamps are going to keep weakening until they are down 20-30% and then they will be replaced. Usually this is around 400 - 500 hours. You will have the ability to boost the Lamps back up to the original 130 in about 2 minutes or less. I see where you talked about the heat. The bed gets a little warm but you should have 3 tons of air going into the room and the bed. It is important the you have the ac going directly into the bed. If you think the Magic is hot, you should try the Matrix. I am not trying to rag on the Matrix, it is just that there are more of them out there. Make sure your glass is clean and to clean the filters regularly both the air filters and the glass ones. If I can help you in any way, I would be glad to help you.
