Re: Sundash Genesis?

They are OK. I have one and I like it.

However, there are other out there that I like better. I will point out a few pros and cons.

Pro's
1. It is oval and it tans you evenly all around your body.
2. it uses acrylics NOT a cage. I hate cages.

Con's
1. Magnetic ballast. (you can't use the new era lamps, 9K90's)
2. The fan is way too loud.

Those are the 2 of the best and worst for that unit.

It tans pretty good and is easy to work on and assemble.

Re: Sundash Genesis?

keep the lounge and install the bulbs that come with the sundash 252. the bulbs are genesis 2000shrx 78" it will turn your lounge into a glorified sundash 252.

Re: Sundash Genesis?

It has nothing to do with the size of the lamps. It has to do with the different gases in the lamps. The new era lamps will not last and will burn out in about 150 hours.

The Sol Glass lamps lasted but flickered all the time. The would stop flickering at about 10 minutes into the 12 min tan time. The 9K90's just burned out at 150 hours. Both lamps metered great on a 5.0 solar meter.

I don't think that the Ergoline Lounge uses Magnetic ballast. I think they use a choke ballast, so you could use the Sol Glass or the 9K90's in that unit. That would make that thing work great.
