Rep Power: 25 | Re: Another problem with my Dometico 2400 Superbronze. I can help you with this unit. The original Dr. Kern 2400 Domectic did not have a contactor in this unit. It only has the timer that is mounted on the right side toward the bottom of the bench. If this was in a salon previously, maybe someone may of added a contact to this unit. I have done it a few times and that was only outside the unit controlling the main power to turn on and off. Was there always a t-max hooked up to this and it worked? If so than there must be a contactor that someone had hooked up to it. Normally the lamps turning on and off and also the fan delay on this was only controlled by the timer. The original timer on this was a Sibel 30min timer with a jungle of wires going to it. I have a hand written schematic for replacement of the timer. Let me know if I can help you. I may need some digital pics of this to see what is going on. Bascially some shot of the back of the bed where (all your wires are coming in) and you will need to take out the first 4 lamps on the bench and also the reflectors. Take a pic of the wires going to the timer. We can go from there. I will be happy to help you. Steve at Dr. Kern doesn't know this unit, it was way before they took on Kern and they also don't have parts for them. All parts are still available for the unit as they are basically standard unless one of your gas spring/shock holders break which is all steel so it shouldn't. Everthing else is common equipment oem. Rep Power: 19 | Re: Another problem with my Dometico 2400 Well when I bought my salon, before I liquidated all the old beds out to put all the new units in, I took this one home..The timer was hooked up when I bought it, and I still use it, I did not plan on trusting the OEM timer AT ALL lol! Well, this is the plan, the old salon owner is coming to take a look at the unit to see what he can do, if he cant help, I will definitely take some pictures for you Sarge..I will keep you updated on it! |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Another problem with my Dometico 2400 Well, he came over this morning, he tore the stupid thing apart, and I saw all the wires for the timer and he disconnected a few and reconnected a few others and he rewired the T-Max wires to it..It is all working now, he offered me $550 for it, and I am considering selling this thing (the timer stopped at 9,000 hours, so I have been using the T-Max counter, and it says over 7000, so this bed is probably getting ready to take a huge crash sometime soon)..I might just go buy a used old Wolff 324SL for home, those always seemed to tan well |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Another problem with my Dometico 2400 There is not much that can go wrong with this unit that will cost you high $ except the acrylic's. The bottom is about 200.00 and change. You can always wire in an hour meter that would be easy. 550.00 isn't bad though but if it runs ok and lamps are good as well as the acrylic, it's perfect for a house. Don't put in reflector lamps in this though as you will get a striped tan. Good Luck |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Another problem with my Dometico 2400 The acryllics are extremely pricy, I do like how the bottom ones just rest in there though..I might just stick with it, just seeing the hour meter stuck on 9000hours is scary enough lol, Im sure its got an additional 20,000 too lol |
