Rep Power: 19 | Problem With One Of My Beds I have an old Dr. Kern Dometic 2400 in my house. I use it seperately from my salon (its way to old for salon use). Anyhow, after the bed gets used about 2 times (me then someone else in my family) a lamp in the canopy turns a red color and it gets extremely, dangerously hot to the touch. It melted a piece of the reflector actually, I havent been getting in it for safety, I changed out all the lamps and starters and it still does it..Any ideas? The fans are all clean and functioning 100%, I opened up the bed and cleaned it all out, I changed the lamps out with LS Morning Sun 2.3% lamps. |

Your ballast is shorting out and not providing enough resistance (not the proper term, but works the same) to keep the plasma from overheating.
