Cleaning HP lamps?

After awhile HP lamps (facials) begin to develop a white powdery coating. Should this be left on, or should it be cleaned off? If possible.

Re: Cleaning HP lamps?

I recently did all of mine in the matrix. acrylic cleaner on both sides of the covers, glass cleaner on the inside and a pencil eraser along the wire leads on the glass surface.

Re: Cleaning HP lamps?

the lamp covers, there are two, one glass and one acrylic. you don't want to create hot spots on the lamps themselves by touching them.

Re: Cleaning HP lamps?

Aye, but do you attempt to clean the actual HP lamps themselves. The rest me knows.
