Rep Power: 23 | Re: Meters and lamps The 5.0 measures total UV... which is mostly UVA... and therefore indicates how strong your "browning" rays are. The 7.0 measures MED/hr... which is the "burning" ray portion of UVB. It relates to Te max timer minutes by dividing the reading into 240 (4 x 60 min). Two completently different wavebands of UVR. Either one can be used to check aging of lamps from new to down 30% of new. |
