Question bed trbl bulbs stay on fans off no cooling

Royal Sun32 bed, 5 years old, no previous troubles. Very sparadic...mid session all fans shut off but bulbs stay on. Bed gets VERY hot! Acrylic supports have melted and clients come out burning! Seems to happen on 20 minute sessions after 12-15 minutes into session.

Ran bed manually 20 straight 20 minute sessions unable to re-create. Ran bed on regular TMAX wall timer 1 week straight, various session lengths, no problems then out of nowhere happens again. Immediatly try to re-create, cannot. Any ideas?

Loose wire. Had a similar problem. Fans worked with the canopy up, put the canopy down and they shut off.

Seems that there were 2 plugs running to the bed. One for the fans. one for the lights. The fan one was EVER SO SLIGHTY LOOSE and just needed to be plugged in further. 2 second fix.

Re: bed trbl bulbs stay on fans off no cooling

Does the timer shut the bed off or does the bed stay on after the session is over.

Fan delay relay could be going bad. This will show intermitent symptoms. The fan delay relay could be dropping out during a session. If this is the case replace it.

If you turn the timer off or if the session ends do the lamps stay on? If so check the contactor and make sure it isn't sticking. Replace it if it is. The contactor is stuck down leaving the lamps energized but the fan delay relay is no longer getting a signal from the timer and the fans will time out then the bed overheats and melts down.

Re: bed trbl bulbs stay on fans off no cooling

The bed will shut off after tan time.
The bulbs will be on and it is very very quiet because there are no fans going on and it gets extremely hot.
We'll have to check out the "fan delay relay" see if that makes a difference.
What is the "fan delay relay"? Is this a chip or wiring or just the fan itself?
Thanks for the help!

Or it could be blue in colour.

It could also be a stacker block on top of the contactor with a dial on it or a din rail mount similar size to a circuit breaker with an adjustment screw.

Neon, this is the entire piece that I might have to replace? Or is this where I find the fan part that isn't working?

Are you saying that the lamps STAY ON after the session but the cooling fans turn off? And if this is the case, are you having to turn the breaker switch (or unplug and plug back in) off and then back on to get the lamps to go off?

TanWorldOrder, was your wiring to the fans that were loose? I think it's def. something with the fans. But just can't figure out why it goes in and out of this problem
