High CFM cooling fans

Hi all,

Been AGES since I've been on TanTalk, left the salon and now I am back! And when I came back I found out that some beds are having cooling fan failures that are increasing in frequency. We are looking for replacement fans that have a high CFM rating, something that will cool the beds better.

The fans are 220V 4.75" box fans, metal housing. The beds are Sunstar ZX30-3F from ETS made in 2001 (unfortunately made during their dark age when quality was job last).

Anyone have any suggestions. I've done some searching but all I can find are fans rated at 120CFM. But I honestly do not know what the stock fans are rated.

Thanks!

Re: High CFM cooling fans

The last set of replacement fans I got from the local Electrical wholesaler, cheaper than from tanning suppliers for me, not sure what they are rated at, but I can check if I pop into the salon later.

Just double checked with ruler in hand... they are indeed 4.75" and 220/230v

Re: High CFM cooling fans

I believe they go by the size of the fan blade, no?

Re: High CFM cooling fans

If thats the case then I think they may still be 4.75 cause the box walls are so thin and the blades are close to the walls.... if that makes sense. I also did a search on that auction site and I came up with the same dimensions, 4.75 X 4.75 X 1.5". They are certainly bigger than a 4" computer cooling fan.

Re: High CFM cooling fans

ETS says they are 4 inch and I believe thats the fan blade diameter.

Re: High CFM cooling fans

4" fans are common and the CFM rating used in all tanning beds that use this fan are between 100 and 120 CFM.

These are a standard size. Available in 110 and 220 volt. You have nothing special there.
