How to determine wattage of Lamps needed?

I recently purchased an older model Stand Up Booth. It is called a Scotty's Tan-a-round. Made by Tan-a-round international in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I mean this sucker is old.....But I got it at a great price. I'm thinking I can fix it up and sell it for a profit in order to get a newer nicer one for my small salon. All of the Disty's have been real stand offish about helping me with this. All of the lamps work, but I'm sure need to be changed. There were no kind of wattage etc... on them. In fact, I was unable to find any info on the lamps that were in it. The booth has 18 Lamps, the Ballast are Magnetic Advance RS-2S200-TP 120 Voltz 60 Hertz. I actually looked this ballast up in the parts catalog on the Advance website and it was there, but I didn't really understand the info I was reading. The Plug for this Booth is a 110. There are no built in fans or anything on it. I will have to do some work to install ventilation. How can I figure out what Wattage of Lamp that I can use in this? What determines the wattage to be used? I am interested in Rave Lamps. Thanks in advance.

18 lamps? I think you may be in there for awhile. Is the writing on the lamps maybe facing in?

Re: How to determine wattage of Lamps needed?

This is going to be a 160 Watt Ballast, it controls (2) lamps. As far as your lamp size, this ballast can handle a few different sizes. If you have black caps on the end of your lamps and being the age of this unit, I would suspect its a F72 lamp. It may be a F73 though. I gotta say I have never heard of this unit before. There is not markings at all on the lamps? If you want, measure the lamp from cap to cap or if it has pins which I doubt measure that also. Don't pay attention to my F72 and such above as it won't measure exactly that. In the tanning industry, for instance an F72 lamp doesn't measure out to be 72 inches. Let me know and I will help you the best I can.

Re: How to determine wattage of Lamps needed?

No, I want to do at least half of the max allowable session time if you don't mind.
